Art in public places adds meaning, beauty, stories & identity, reflecting Boise’s local character, binding us to one another and to the spaces we all love & share! Walking Boise's streets is simply one of the best ways to learn about the city's public art. You can enjoy a self guided tour or join the Public Art Program Team every third Saturday during the months of April through October for a two-hour walking tour. The tour begins and ends on the Capitol Blvd. plaza at City Hall (150 N. Capitol Blvd.). The tour starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. These tours are free and open to the public with no registration required, however space is limited to 25 participants that are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Garden City Live-Work-Create district hosts the First Friday Art & Studio Stroll every other month from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. Artists in the area open their studios to the public. There is usually a shuttle service driving attendees through the district. There are also events for children so bring the whole family!
